Intercontinental Cup: PSG beat Brazil's Flamengo, winning sixth title in 2025

PSG won the Intercontinental Cup against Flamengo on penalties (1-1., 2-1 on pens). Jorginho Kvaratskhelia opened the score before halftime, Jorginho equalised from the spot, and Matveï Safonov shone in the shootout with four consecutive saves. Paris claims a sixth trophy in 2025, marking a historic year for the French side.

In the Women's Champions League, matchday 6 saw OL Lyonnes qualify for the quarterfinals by thrashing Atletico Madrid (4-0); unbeaten, they finish second behind FC Barcelona. Paris FC (10th) lost to FC Barcelona (0-2) but advance to the playoffs, unlike PSG (17th), which drew Benfica (1-1).

In the League Cup, Manchester City swept Brentford (2-0) with goals from Rayan Cherki and Savio Moreira de Oliveira (Savinho), reaching the semi-finals. Newcastle edged Fulham (2-1) on the wire, with Miley sealing victory late.

In King's Cup, Real Madrid won (3-2) against Talavera (3rd div.). Kylian Mbappé scored two decisive goals (58 goals in 2025, one shy of Cristiano Ronaldo's record. Atletico Madrid struggled past Atlético Baleares (3-2). 

In the EuroLeague, Monaco (6th) fell at Victoria (85-73), its second straight loss. ASVEL (20th) snapped four defeats with a 76-74 win over Bayern. French player Nando De Colo became the second player in EuroLeague history to score 5,000 points after Mike James.
