Day two was packed with drama. Mali saw their three points slip away after a late equaliser from Zambia. Bafana Bafana meanwhile managed to beat a tough Angola side, scoring a second goal to make it 2-1. There was more excitement during the final game of the day as the Pharoes faced the Warriors, who waged a tough battle. Zimbabwe opened the scoring, before Omar Marmoush brought it level. At the last minute, Mo Salah made it 2-1, giving Egypt the win.

Today's first game ended with a dramatic last minute equaliser for Zambia in their game against Mali.

Then South Africa and Angola got the party started for Group B: it started well for the South Africans with a goal in the 21st minute by Oswin Appollis. Angola though were hot on their heels, and managed to equalise before half time. After one disallowed goal, South Africa were back for more, and Foster finally got his team a second goal.

Finally, The Pharoes faced the Warriors, who waged a tough battle, scoring in the 20th minute. In the end though, Omar Marmoush brought it level with a point blank goal. At the very last minute, Salah made it 2-1, giving Egypt their win, and their first three points of the competition.
